Born in Reno, Nevada and still living here. Love this city. I recently received my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Dance from University of Nevada, Reno.
Here are just some of the reasons I enjoy blogging.
Fashion: Fashion bloggers all across the web, Weardrobe, Lookbook, Chictopia, and people walking down the street. While I find designer’s creations very interesting, I lean towards an accessible and intriguing fashion statement.
Film and Television: Wes Anderson, the Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, and David Lynch. I could watch Twin Peaks over and over again. I’m a fanatic for Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job. I’m through season two of Mad Men, and I’m hooked! I have recently been watching a collection of Akira Kurosawa films. Really excellent movies.
Books: 1984 by George Orwell is my favorite book of all time. During the school semester I swear by Daily Lit for some entertaining reading, sent right to my email.
Here’s what I’m currently reading:
Music: I listen to a wide variety of music and I enjoy going to live shows. Some of my favorite artists are Radiohead, The Cure, Beck, Feist, Modest Mouse, The XX, Elliott Smith and so many others. Here’s my Last.fm account.
Dance: I am interested in all forms of dance, including dance history. I also enjoy the collaboration between various art forms (visual art, music, film, etc.) and dance. I also enjoy creating choreographic works. At my last semester in school I was interning at Sierra Arts Foundation and headed to American College Dance Festival at California State University at Long Beach! For the summer of 2011, I will be doing an arts administration internship with Bates Dance Festival in Maine and I am very excited!
Food: Pescatarian, but I delve into vegetarian and vegan baking. Terry and Isa of Post Punk Kitchen are amazing!

Ditto on 1984. Genius book.
